The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, on Tuesday inaugurated the Rozgaar Mahakumbh 2025 in Lucknow. The three-day event, which will run from August 26 to August 28, began with an inaugural ceremony at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, attended by the Chief Minister and several ministers. During the event, the Chief Minister also handed out appointment letters to some of the newly-selected candidates.
At the event, the Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh is set to become the first state in the country to guarantee minimum wages and salaries for every working youth. Describing the youth as a reservoir of immense energy, he said that the state’s greatest strength lies in its vast young population.
He, further, added, “Now, UP’s talent is in high demand both across India and globally, and the state, which once suffered the pain of mass migration for jobs, is now creating employment within its borders.”
The Chief Minister recalled that once, entire villages migrated for work, but now, the same Uttar Pradesh is offering opportunities within the state itself— a transformation made possible by the well-planned efforts of the past eight years.
CM said, “This event reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Mission Rozgaar and Viksit Bharat, ensuring that every youth gets work according to their skills and qualifications. Wherever given opportunities, UP’s youth have consistently proven their talent and capabilities.”
He further said, “Under the ‘CM Yuva Udyami Scheme’, launched on 24 January 2025, interest-free loans without collateral are being provided to youth between 21 and 40 years of age.” The facility, he emphasised, is not determined by caste, creed, religion, or identity, but solely by an individual’s interest and ambition. So far, more than 70,000 youth have successfully established their own enterprises through this scheme.
The primary aim of the Rozgaar Mahakumbh 2025 is to offer employment and job opportunities to the youth of the state so that they have a platform to demonstrate their talent and abilities. The campaign is an integral part of the Uttar Pradesh government's attempt to boost employment in the state.
More than 100 companies are likely to be present at the event, spanning various industries such as Artificial Intelligence, Software Development, Hardware Design, and Cloud Computing. The organisers say the initiative will assist in bringing the right talent to the right companies and will play a critical role in mapping the careers of the youth of the state.
The conference will be attended by top international technology companies, such as Microsoft and Intel, and more than 100 other domestic and foreign firms. Industry leaders and professionals will attend to network with the young attendees. Several firms will also be holding on-the-spot interviews to provide instantaneous hiring and placement.
The programme is envisioned as an equal opportunity for young people to establish their careers and succeed in their professional lives.
