The Majitha police, on Friday, arrested Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Kanchanpreet Kaur in connection with a case relating to the Tarn Taran byelection registered against her at Chabal for preventing the police from performing their duty.

Kanchanpreet Kaur is daughter of Sukhwinder Kaur Randhawa, the SAD candidate for the Tarn Taran byelection.
&nbsp;
Four FIRs were lodged against her at different police stations during the campaigning for the byelection. Further details are awaited.
