Saif stabbed or acting? Nitesh Rane's statement raises eyebrow

The unanswered questions surrounding Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing continue to raise concerns about security lapses and inconsistencies in the sequence of events, further fuelled by Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane’s controversial remarks and probing questions about the incident.

Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane has questioned whether the recent attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was genuine or if the actor was "just acting". Khan was discharged from Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday, five days after being attacked by an intruder.

During an event in Pune, Rane said, "When I saw Saif Ali Khan after he was discharged, I doubted whether he was really stabbed or just acting." He further criticised opposition leaders for showing concern for actors only when "a Khan is in trouble".

The actor was hospitalised on January 16 following an altercation with Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, a Bangladeshi national who had entered Khan's flat with the intention of theft. During the incident, Saif was stabbed multiple times, including a severe wound near his spine.

Shehzad was arrested in Thane, and Khan underwent immediate surgery at Lilavati Hospital to remove a piece of knife lodged in his back and to prevent spinal fluid leakage.

However, it has been seven days since the incident, and key questions remain unanswered, pointing out inconsistencies in the sequence of events and the ongoing probe.

For instance, how did the attacker enter undetected through the main entrance of such a high-profile, high-rise residence in Bandra?

Was there no security protocol in place to monitor the entrance? Were the guards asleep during that time?

Additionally, why did the male staff members present inside the house fail to act when Saif was attacked, and what were they doing during this crucial time?

One person has been arrested by the police, but his appearance differs from the man seen descending the building stairs on the day of the incident.

Is it due to the lighting on the stairs, or does it hint at potential misidentification or deliberate manipulation?

Furthermore, how did the accused manage to hide in the garden of Saif Ali Khan’s building for two hours after the stabbing without being detected?

Was no one searching the premises during this time after the alarm was sounded?

Rane also pointed out the selective concern expressed by certain leaders for celebrities, suggesting that actors are only supported when crises arise.
