Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh on Thursday claimed that the BJP had launched its “Mission Punjab” through the twin blasts in Amritsar and Jalandhar, alleging that the incidents were aimed at disturbing the peaceful atmosphere ahead of the 2027 assembly elections in Punjab.
Singh also referred to West Bengal, alleging that incidents of post-election violence were being reported there following the BJP’s electoral victory. “There is a direct connection between the BJP and Pakistan’s ISI, and such links were seen earlier during the Pathankot incident. The blasts in Amritsar and Jalandhar are part of the BJP’s political strategy to create unrest ahead of elections,” Singh alleged.
He further claimed that the BJP had a “history of engaging with the ISI” and said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had allowed Pakistani investigators to visit India after the Pathankot attack.
Singh alleged that the same ISI was behind several security incidents in the country and claimed that the BJP maintained close links with it. He said this was the reason Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and the AAP leadership blamed the BJP for the recent blast incidents.
Earlier on Wednesday, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had accused the BJP of being responsible for the two explosions, alleging that such incidents were part of the party’s preparations for the upcoming Punjab Assembly polls.
