The Directorate of School Education, Jammu, has announced new timings for government and private schools across the division.

 

The order from the DSEJ said from October, schools in the summer zone will function between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, while from November onwards, the timings will shift to 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.

 

 

However, the schools falling within the Municipal Corporation limits and nearby urban areas will continue with the 9:00 am to 3:00 pm schedule.

 

Meanwhile, in the winter zone, the schools will open from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm starting October 1.

The order states that any violation of the directive shall invite action against the institution under the rules in vogue.
