Rain continued to disrupt life in Jhajjar, leading to waterlogging in several parts of the district. To ensure public safety, the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has ordered all government and private schools, along with anganwadi centres, to remain closed for two days. Schools will now reopen on September 4.
The administration has advised residents to stay indoors, avoid unnecessary travel, and keep away from low-lying areas and drains.
For any flood-related emergency, residents can contact the District Flood Control Room at 01251-254270.
Deputy Commissioner and DDMA Chairperson Swapnil Ravindra Patil said public safety was the top priority. He added that the administration was fully prepared to handle any emergency arising because of the heavy rains.
