Section 144 imposed in Panchkula ahead of Farmers 'Delhi chalo' march

Earlier, the Haryana government issued orders to suspend mobile internet services and bulk SMS in seven districts.

Two days prior to the 'Delhi chalo' march of the Farmers, Section 144 is imposed in Panchkula by the Haryana government today.

 

Panchkula DCP Sumer Singh Pratap informing about the situation, stated that the ban has been enforced for taking out on organizing processions, demonstrations, marches on foot or with tractor trolleys, or any vehicles, and carrying sticks, rods, or weapons.

 

The borders are being secured ahead of farmers February 13 march protest. 

 

Earlier, the Haryana government issued orders to suspend mobile internet services and bulk SMS in seven districts. As per official directives, mobile internet services will be halted in Ambala, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Jind, Hisar, Fatehabad, and Sirsa districts from 6 am on February 11 until 23:59 pm on February 13.

 

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha have announced the 'Delhi Chalo' march by more than 200 farmers' unions on February 13 to press the Centre to accept their several demands, including enactment of a law to guarantee a minimum support price (MSP) for crops.
