Member of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), Ram Singh, passed away early this morning, at the age of 74. 

 

The President of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and former deputy chief minister of Punjab, Sukhbir Singh Badal, mourned the death of the senior SGPC leader.

 

“Hearing the news of the eternal departure of Bhai Ram Singh, a member of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and a bearer of Panthic thought, has caused immense sorrow. The service rendered by him to the Sikh community will always be remembered. May Guru Sahib grant residence at His feet to the noble soul and bestow strength upon the family to accept His will,” Badal wrote in a post on X.

 

SGPC is an elected body that manages Sikh Gurdwaras and religious affairs.
