Giani Harpreet Singh has been terminated by the SGPC as Jathedar of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib on Monday.&nbsp;
&nbsp;
The SGPC Executive Committee, chaired by President Harjinder Singh Dhami, has decided that though Giani Harpreet Singh will continue to serve as Head Granthi at Takht Sri Damdama Sahib.&nbsp;
&nbsp;
This decision follows the report of a three-member committee formed to investigate allegations against Giani Harpreet Singh.
&nbsp;
However, the move has been opposed by a rebel faction of the Akali Dal.
