The parents of the late Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh, popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala, have welcomed a new addition to their family.
Moosewala's father, Balkaur Singh, shared the joyous news on his social media account, announcing that he and his wife, Charan Kaur, have been blessed with a baby boy, now the younger brother of Moosewala.
Moosewala, an internationally acclaimed artist, unsuccessfully ran for the Punjab Assembly elections on a Congress ticket from Mansa in 2022, and was tragically murdered on May 29 of the same year. The case involves thirty-one accused, including gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, with twenty-five arrests made thus far.
Highly popular among the masses, particularly the youth, Moosewala was renowned for writing and producing his own songs, earning him the status of one of the wealthiest Punjabi singers. Despite his untimely demise, several of his songs have been released posthumously and have garnered millions of views, with many more to be released in the future.
Moosewala was the sole child of his parents, who are now in their late fifties.
In February, Charan Kaur expressed her support for the protesting farmers participating in the 'Dilli Chalo' movement on her social media platforms. She also advocated for justice for Shubhkaran Singh, a farmer who tragically lost his life at the Khanauri border.
