Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday extended his heartiest congratulations to the state Police personnel honoured with Gallantry Medals for their exemplary service ahead of the 77th Republic Day celebrations tomorrow.
A post from LG Sinha’s official ‘X’ handle stated that he also congratulated the personnel of the Jammu and Kashmir Correctional Service who were awarded the Medal for Meritorious Service.
He said the nation holds the courage, dedication and professionalism of J&K Police in the highest regard and praised their unwavering commitment to duty. He hailed the valour and integrity of the Police force for its selfless dedication to the country and said their commitment and sacrifices would continue to inspire future generations not only of Jammu and Kashmir but also of the entire nation.
Meanwhile, two senior officers, along with 50 other senior officials of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, were awarded the country’s highest police service honour, the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service. The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Haseeb Mughal, and NishaNathyal were awarded for their outstanding roles and leadership service.
Besides this, thirty-three other officers and policemen received the Medal for Gallantry for acts of exceptional bravery in operational situations. Seventeen other officers were awarded the Medal for Meritorious Service for their continuous and diligent performance.
