Six people were injured on Thursday afternoon when a private bus coming from Nangal lost control near the Ludhiana bus stand, hit two vehicles and ramming into the road divider.
Brake failure reportedly led to the accident. The impact was so strong that the front portion of the bus and its windshield were completely shattered. The injured have been admitted to ESI Hospital.
Traffic policeman Kulwant Singh, who witnessed the accident while he was on duty near the bus stand, said that when the bus coming from the flyover was approaching the bus stand, it first hit a bike and then an e-rickshaw. The bus driver is absconding.
