A six-year-old girl was killed after being hit by a tractor and then run over by her school bus in Gurugram district, police said.
The tragic accident took place in Dhanokri village when the girl, Yanshika, a UKG student of Virat International School in Kapriwas village of Rewari district, was waiting for her school bus.
Police said both the front and rear tyres of the bus ran over her, leaving her critically injured. She was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries during treatment.
As per the complaint filed by her father, Ravi, the accident took place around 7 am when Yanshika was waiting outside their home for her school bus.
A tractor passing by first hit her, and then the approaching school bus from the opposite direction ran over her, he told police.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Ramesh Kumar, the investigating officer, said the body has been sent for post-mortem.
"An FIR has been registered against the drivers of both the bus and the tractor. Efforts are on to arrest the accused," he said.
