Daytime temperatures have also surged across most parts of Jammu and Kashmir amid dry and hot weather conditions.

Meteorological officials have attributed the warmer conditions to prevailing weather patterns and the absence of significant rainfall activity in recent days.

However, on Tuesday, the weather is expected to turn cooler with cloud cover in Srinagar, with the MeT department predicting the possibility of light rainfall during the afternoon hours.
