Stalin unveils key projects across Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for several major development projects across the state on Monday via a video conference from the Secretariat in Chennai.

 

These initiatives mark a significant step forward in developing infrastructure, tourism, education, and social welfare. Under the Department of Law, the Chief Minister officially opened the newly constructed academic and administrative blocks at the Government Law College in Madurai, built at a cost of ₹48.20 crore, and inaugurated a new ground-plus-two-floor library building at the Government Law College, Vellore, costing ₹6.46 crore.

 

For the Department of Tourism, Culture, and Religious Endowments, he unveiled four completed tourism projects worth ₹7.46 crore at sites including Jawadhu Hills (Tiruvannamalai District), Ponnaniyar Dam (Karur District), and Kolli Hills (Namakkal District), aimed at upgrading these locations to international standards.

 

Furthermore, he laid the foundation stone for five new tourism spots, estimated at ₹16.30 crore. The CM also inaugurated "Aran" shelter homes for transgender persons at Senai Nagar in Chennai and Anna Nagar in Madurai, with a total cost of ₹43.88 lakh, under the Department of Welfare and Women's Rights.

 

For the Department of Industries, Investment Promotion, and Commerce, CM Stalin unveiled 16 new childcare centres within SIPCOT industrial parks and inaugurated two major food processing facilities: the "Tindivanam Mega Food Park" in Villupuram District (₹120 crore) and the "Theni Mega Food Park" in Theni District (₹70 crore).

 

Under the Department of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stones for four new temple development projects and an Assistant Commissioner's office, with a total cost of ₹43.20 crore. He also inaugurated 13 completed renovation works across seven temples and numerous offices, worth ₹48.81 crore.

 

Finally, the CM handed out offer letters to 1683 candidates selected by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) for the posts of Assistant Engineer (Electrical), Junior Draughting Officer, and Assistant.
