The Congress government in Himachal Pradesh will hold a state-level event in Mandi district on December 11 to celebrate the completion of three years in office.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu chaired a review meeting in Shimla to oversee the preparations. He said a high-powered committee has been formed to finalise the venue and ensure smooth organisation of the event.
The committee includes Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi, Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani, and Dharampur MLA Chander Shekhar. The Chief Minister instructed all departments to complete preparations on time.
Sukhu said the event will highlight the government’s achievements and reforms under the ‘Vyavstha Parivartan’ (Systemic Change) initiative over the past three years. A statement from the government said the event will showcase progress made in various sectors.
A coffee table book detailing the government's key accomplishments and reforms across departments will be released at the event. Chief Minister’s Principal Advisor, Ram Subhag Singh, has been appointed as the coordinator to compile this information.
Sukhu said that major reforms have been implemented in education, healthcare, and the rural economy, benefiting people across Himachal Pradesh. He added that the state’s economy is showing signs of recovery, with steady growth in revenue collection.
Beneficiaries of different welfare schemes and individuals who have made outstanding contributions in various fields will be honoured during the event.
The Chief Minister also asked officials to draft a two-year roadmap to speed up development and strengthen implementation of government priorities at the grassroots level.
He stressed the importance of providing more public services at people’s doorsteps, enhancing digitalisation, and improving governance across all departments.
