Sunil Shetty praises Kashmir’s revival and spirit at marathon

Asked about the significance of the event, Shetty replied, “I could sense the positive change in the Valley’s overall Atmosphere. We arrived yesterday; we enjoyed a visit to the Dal Lake and other places.”

Bollywood Star Sunil Shetty, at the Kashmir Marathon 2.0 on Sunday, expressed his joy and admiration, seeing the overwhelming participation in the event, calling it a celebration of unity and peace.
 
During his media interaction, Shetty said, “People are running for Kashmir and for India. This is such a beautiful thing, and it is amazing to see the enthusiasm with which people of all ages were running in the event.
 
“I am very pleased to be here in Kashmir for the second edition. I will try my best to come again and share such beautiful moments,” he said.
 
Asked about the significance of the event, Shetty replied, “I could sense the positive change in the Valley’s overall Atmosphere. We arrived yesterday; we enjoyed a visit to the Dal Lake and other places.”
 
It felt to me as if the atmosphere, which had gone quiet after the Pahalgam attack, was coming back to life once again. I expect this winter to be more beautiful for Kashmir,” he said.
 
Reflecting upon the growing participation of athletes in the Marathon, Shetty said, “I am 100 per cent sure that as the popularity of the event grows, more international athletes will join in the coming years.”
 
Winter is coming, and with winter events happening in February, a lot more is in store. You have cricket also coming up, where international players like Chris Gayle and others will be here and playing. ‘ So, it means we are back—we are back in a big way.
 
While praising the beauty of the place, Shetty said he and some of his producer friends would surely come back to film some movies in Kashmir, as it has breathtaking places ideal for film shooting.
 
At the end of his interaction with media personnel, Shetty congratulated the UT Government for hosting such a landmark event after the Pahalgam incident.
 
He said, ‘I pray, wish, and request people to come forward and make this beautiful place their very own. Come and experience Kashmir.’
