Suspected drone-like flying objects were seen on Wednesday night in the Nadaun area of Hamirpur district, which falls under the assembly constituency of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.

 

Eyewitnesses reported seeing two to three suspected drones in the Gauna and Sera villages, including Sukhu’s native village. Locals captured videos and photographs of the objects and immediately informed the police.

 

Confirming the incident, Hamirpur SP Bhagat Singh Thakur said after receiving information about the suspected drone activity, police teams along with the DSP visited the location. However, no aerial objects were visible when the authorities arrived at the spot.

 

Commenting on the visuals recorded by residents, which are now circulating on social media, SP Thakur said the objects could potentially be balloons or mechanical drones used by media personnel or wedding photographers.

 

“The matter has been referred to security agencies for further examination, and an investigation is underway,” he added.
