A 35-year-old man fell victim to alleged Naxal violence in the Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki district of Chhattisgarh.

The incident, which occurred late Thursday night in the remote village of Pitemeta, has sent shockwaves through the region.

Prem Singh Gawde, the unfortunate victim, was reportedly abducted from his residence by three individuals and taken into the nearby forest.

His lifeless body was discovered early Friday morning on the Pitemeta-Aundhi road, sparking outrage and sorrow among the local community.

According to preliminary reports, Maoist pamphlets found at the scene implicated Gawde as a police informer, a claim vehemently denied by officials.

These pamphlets also called for a boycott of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, further escalating tensions in the area.

The Rajnandgaon-Kanker Border (RKB) Division of Maoists allegedly claimed responsibility for Gawde's death, prompting authorities to launch a search operation to apprehend the perpetrators.

As the region grapples with the aftermath of this tragic incident, questions regarding security and the prevalence of Naxal violence loom large.

The upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the Rajnandgaon constituency add another layer of complexity to the situation, underscoring the urgent need for effective measures to address insurgency and protect the lives of innocent civilians.
