The political drama that unfolded three days ago after former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren expressed his anguish and grief through a social media post while staying in Delhi continues as Soren returned to Jharkhand on Tuesday without giving any hint of joining BJP or forming a separate political party.

Speaking to media persons at Delhi airport on Tuesday Champai said that he had not met any leader (of BJP) in Delhi as he was there for personal work.

On the question of rumours being spread over his intentions to join the BJP, he said, “I don’t know who is saying such things. I have already told what was there in my mind.”

On August 18, Champai Soren went to Delhi, where he shared a long post on X expressing his pain. He said that he was forced to resign from the post of CM and was also humiliated.

However, he wrote in his post that he had no intention of causing any kind of damage to the organisation. “We can never even think of harming the party, which we have nurtured with our blood and sweat,” he said.

Meanwhile, four MLAs of JMM, who were said to be joining the rebellion with Champai Soren reached CM's residence to meet Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday. These four MLAs include Baharagora MLA Samir Mohanty, MLA Ramdas Soren, Mangal Kalindi and Sanjeev Sardar.

There was speculation that the four MLAs could join BJP with Champai Soren. But, they attended a meeting with Hemant Soren in Ranchi and said that they have been asked to work with full force in their constituencies ahead of elections.
