The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted a raid on Tuesday at the residence of an Assistant Divisional Officer (ADO) in the Electricity department in Kothaguda, Hyderabad, according to a press release.
An ACB official said that raids were underway at the home of the ADO, who was working in Manikonda. The press release added that 15 separate ACB teams are conducting simultaneous raids in other districts across Telangana.
This follows an earlier check on September 10, when the Telangana ACB conducted a surprise inspection at the Tribal Welfare Ashram High School in Sai Kunta, Mancherial.
With assistance from a Legal Metrology Inspector, Sanitary Inspector, Food Inspector, and an Auditor, the ACB Adilabad Unit's teams, checked the quality and quantity of food, sanitation conditions, The ACB Adilabad Unit's teams, student records, and more.
The officials noted several irregularities, including unhygienic premises, poor upkeep of rooms and improper record maintenance, while conducting searches.
The ACB said that a report is being sent to the government to ensure necessary action is taken against the officials involved.
