Telangana has will offer MeeSeva services to students directly through WhatsApp, which is being seen as a move to enhance digital governance. This new service allows students across the state to obtain academic documents with greater ease and convenience.
The service was officially launched by IT Minister D Sridhar Babu, who stressed that the primary focus of the new facilities is to assist students.
By using the dedicated WhatsApp number 8096958096, students can now download their hall tickets for SSC, Intermediate, Post-graduation, and various competitive examinations. The service is available around the clock, 24 hours a day and seven days a week.
The collaboration between the Government of Telangana, MeeSeva, and technology partner Meta makes over 580 services from 38 different government departments accessible to students directly through WhatsApp.
This is a part of a commitment to make services provided by the government more accessible and digitally efficient for the public. The government has also come forth with plans to make the WhatsApp-based MeeSeva services even more inclusive.
The platform will soon be available in Telugu and Urdu to serve a larger population base. Voice-command features are currently being developed, which will allow for hands-free operation. The government intends to include more departments in the service over the coming months.
