Congress MP Manish Tewari on Thursday shared a cryptic message on social media after he was left out of the Punjab Congress's organisational reshuffle ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections.

Responding to a newspaper report about his exclusion from the newly announced state committees, Tewari posted on X, " Wish I had an antidote for the insecurities of individuals and institutions! Having said that, INCIndia has given me enough over the past 45 years and I have also devoted my entire adult life in the service of the Indian National Congress over the decades. Que sera, sera. Whatever will be, will be."

His post came a day after the Congress unveiled its new organisational team in Punjab. The party appointed chairpersons for several key election committees and named three working presidents, but did not assign any organisational role to Tewari.

A three-time Lok Sabha MP, Tewari currently represents Chandigarh in Parliament. In the past, he has also represented the Anandpur Sahib and Ludhiana Lok Sabha constituencies.

As per a statement issued by AICC General Secretary K C Venugopal, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge cleared the new appointments with immediate effect.

Under the new organisational set-up, Charanjit Singh Channi has been appointed chairman of the Campaign Committee, Vijay Inder Singla will head the Election Management and Coordination Committee, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has been named chairman of the Core Committee, and Amar Singh will lead the Manifesto Committee.

Amarinder Singh Raja Warring will continue as president of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, while Pratap Singh Bajwa remains the Leader of the Congress Legislature Party.

The party also named Sukhwinder Singh Danny, Raj Kumar Verka and Sangat Singh Gilzian as working presidents.
