A United States military aircraft carrying 112 Indian nationals landed at Amritsar airport late on Sunday night, marking the third such flight under the Donald Trump administration's ongoing crackdown on illegal immigrants. The plane touched down at 10:03 pm.
Among the deportees, 44 hail from Haryana, 33 from Gujarat, 31 from Punjab, two from Uttar Pradesh, and one each from Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, sources confirmed.
Several family members of the deportees had gathered at the airport, anticipating their arrival.
The deportees will be allowed to return to their respective homes following the completion of immigration formalities, verification procedures, and background checks.

"Arrangements have been made for the transportation of deportees to their destinations," a source said.
The flight is the latest in a series of deportations coordinated between the United States and Indian authorities.
The first such flight under the current crackdown brought 104 deportees to India on 5 February. All flights carrying Indian deportees from the United States have been landing at Amritsar airport.
However, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has voiced his opposition to the use of Amritsar airport for these arrivals.
Further deportations are expected as the Trump administration intensifies efforts to repatriate individuals found residing illegally in the United States.
