The Tamil Nadu government on Saturday shuffled several IAS officers and shifted collectors of districts, as part of the ongoing efforts to rejig the bureaucracy. It sanctioned the creation of temporary posts of Director, Geology and Mining; Director, Tourism; and Additional Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments, Tiruchirappalli region, in the senior scale of IAS for a period of one year with effect from the date of appointment, or till the need for them cease, whichever is earlier, an order said.

 

Accordingly, T Prabhushankar, Managing Director, Metropolitan Transport Corporation Limited, is transferred and posted as Director, Geology and Mining in the newly created post. VP Jeyaseelan, Joint Commissioner (Health), Greater Chennai Corporation, is transferred and posted as Director, Tourism vice MS Shanmugam, retiring on June 30.

 

P Akash, Madurai district collector is transferred and posted to Sivaganga district vice Nishant Krishna, who has been transferred and posted as Madurai district collector.

 

N Ponmani, Joint Commissioner, Commercial Taxes, Erode, is transferred and posted as Additional Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments, Tiruchirappalli Region, in the newly created post.

 

The services of J Innocent Divya, on return from leave, are placed at the disposal of Tamil Nadu Handloom Weavers Cooperative Society (CO-OPTEX) for appointment as its Managing Director vice Kavitha Ramu, who will be appointed as Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Urban Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (TUFIDCO).

 

The services of D Mohan, Director, Geology and Mining, are placed at the disposal of MTC for appointment as its Managing Director. Shreya P Singh, Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board, will be the new Joint Commissioner (Health) Greater Chennai Corporation.

 

P Ramana Saraswathi, Managing Director, Tamil Nadu FibreNet Corporation Limited, will be appointed as MD of Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board.
