A man from Tamil Nadu has claimed that his five-month-old son was murdered by his wife and her lesbian partner. The incident occurred in Chinnati village in Krishnagiri district on November 5 when the infant reportedly became unconscious while feeding. The child was later pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
The complainant, Suresh (38), a day labourer, alleged that his wife, Barathi (26), and her partner, Sumithra, were responsible for his son’s death. Both women have since been arrested by the police. Suresh and Barathi also have two older daughters, aged four and five.
According to initial reports, the baby was taken to Kelamangalam Government Hospital after collapsing during feeding. The child was sadly declared dead on arrival and subsequently buried.
The case took a dramatic turn after Suresh claimed his son had been intentionally killed by his wife. Suspecting foul play, he checked Barathi’s phone and reportedly discovered photographs and voice messages which he believed implicated her and her partner, Sumithra. He then notified the police.
Police sources indicated that Barathi and Sumithra had been in a relationship for the past three years. Tensions, reportedly, arose following the birth of Barathi’s son, as the couple allegedly struggled to spend time together, which is suspected to have led to the fatal incident.
Suresh also provided the police with a recorded phone conversation in which Barathi allegedly confessed the crime. Following this submission, the Kelamangalam Police arrested both Barathi and Sumithra. A full investigation is currently underway.
