A significant number of people are visiting Srinagar to explore the popular tourist attractions in Kashmir, particularly the Mughal Gardens.
Despite recent erratic weather conditions, including heavy rainfall and snow at upper reaches triggering flood alerts, people from across India are thronging popular destinations in Kashmir with their loved ones.
Lovely weather in the Kashmir Valley has attracted a considerable number of tourists. Hundreds of visitors are flocking to Kashmir's hill regions to beat the heat.
Kashmir's breathtaking landscapes, iconic Mughal gardens, cascading waterfalls, serene lakes, and captivating treks define its mesmerising beauty.
"The weather is very nice in the valley right now; I've had a great time visiting here. "There are so many places to visit, and now is the best time to enjoy Kashmir," said Aparna, a tourist.
While enjoying the view near the iconic Ghanta Ghar (Clock tower) located in the heart of Srinagar city, Mohammad Shibli, a tourist from Kerala, said, “There is no match to Kashmir’s beauty, this is my third time here, and it feels different here than anywhere else.
He also visited Manali, and although that place is also beautiful, “Kashmir is pleasing to the eye, and it is stunningly beautiful.”
In 2023 alone, tourism in Kashmir attracted a record-breaking 2.11 crore visitors, and this year, the sector is expected to experience a significant surge in incoming tourists as the heat wave in north India breaks records.
According to the Tourism Department Kashmir, in just 33 days, Tulip Garden welcomed 4.2 lakh tourists, marking the highest footfall since its official opening to the public in 2007.
Meanwhile, the IMD has forecasted cloudy yet pleasant weather with temperatures expected to remain below normal.
