Following fresh snowfall, tourists are flocking to Natha Top hill resort, located 10 kilometres beyond the popular Patnitop in Jammu region.
Many visitors arrived at Natha Top after paying their respects at the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra. On Monday, tourists immersed themselves in the charm and beauty of the snow-covered landscape.
They enjoyed dancing, playing in the snow, savouring local delicacies, warming themselves by bonfires and taking photographs against the picturesque snowy backdrop.
Jammu and Kashmir’s tourism figures for 2026 appear highly promising, with the region poised to welcome even more visitors in the coming days.
The Union Territory recorded 1.78 crore tourists in 2025, despite challenges posed by terror attacks and weather-related disruptions.

The introduction of the Vande Bharat Express to the Kashmir Valley has significantly improved connectivity and boosted tourism activity in the region. The Lieutenant Governor described the launch of this all-weather rail service as a historic achievement.
A full-fledged railway division has been sanctioned for Jammu and Kashmir, while expansion and modernisation work at Jammu Tawi railway station is currently underway.
