A pile of soil dumped on the rail tracks near Raghuraj Singh station briefly halted a passenger train after the loco pilot spotted it on Sunday, according to the police.
The track was cleared off the soil, and rail traffic on the route resumed afterwards, SHO Devendra Bhadoria said.
"A small pile of soil was dumped on the railway track because of which a shuttle train from Raibareli was stopped," Bhadoria said.
The area's residents stated that there is currently road construction happening, which includes the nighttime use of dump trucks to move soil.
