A young tribal couple was brutally murdered by unidentified assailants in Dumka district of Jharkhand, according to the police on Monday.
The victims, identified as Mohan Soren (30) and his wife Veronica Hembram (27), attacked by sharp weapons in the woman's paternal house in Paharpur village in Gopikandar police station area, late Sunday.
Sumit Bhagat, Gopikandar police station officer-in-charge, stated that after the police received the information about the incident, a police team along with a dog squad rushed to the spot on Sunday midnight.
The investigation was underway and so far, the identity of the killers or the motive behind the murders was yet to be ascertained. It was still a mystery how the assailants entered the house.
