Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday paid rich tributes to former President of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on his birth anniversary.
In a post on X, the Office of the LG wrote, “Humble tributes to former President of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Ji on his Janm Jayanti. A man of simplicity, integrity, wisdom, knowledge and perseverance, Dr. Kalam devoted his life to building a stronger, self-reliant India. His vision and ideals continue to inspire all of us.”
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid tribute to Bharat Ratna Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on his birth anniversary, saying that the former President and eminent scientist inspired the nation to dream big.
In a post on X, PM Modi, reflecting on APJ Abdul Kalam’s life, said he is remembered as a “visionary who ignited young minds”.
“Remembering Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Ji on his birth anniversary. He is remembered as a visionary who ignited young minds and inspired our nation to dream big. His life reminds us that humility and hard work are vital for success. May we continue to build the India he envisioned, an India that is strong, self-reliant, and compassionate,” PM Modi said.
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also praised the contributions of the former President.
In a post on X, the Chief Minister’s Office wrote, “Chief Minister remembers Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, paying tribute to his vision, humility, and enduring legacy as the People’s President.”
