Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday suspended two government employees in the UT under Article 311 for their involvement in terror-related activities, officials said.

The move once again reaffirms the administration’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, they said.

Both employees serving in the education sector were suspended for allegedly having links to the Lashkar-e-Taiba and their involvement in Narco-terrorism activities in the region.

The terminated employees are Ghulam Hussain, a teacher in the Education Department, accused of acting as an Over Ground Worker (OGW) for Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), maintaining links with terrorists and facilitating recruitment and funding in Reasi district.

While the second employee, Majid Iqbal Dar, a teacher and former Lab Assistant, allegedly engaged in Narco-terrorism, radicalisation of youth, and terror financing through drug money. He was alos linked to IED plots in Rajouri and continued subversive activities even during detention.

This is not an isolated incident; the Jammu and Kashmir administration has suspended several employees for their role and connections with the terror and separatist outfits in the UT.

Officials say that these rogue elements pose a threat to national security, as they indulge in terrorism and secessionist activities, fuelling resentment among the people against the Union of India.

Since assuming office in August 2020, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has led a focused effort to dismantle the terror ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir.
More than 77 government employees with terror links have been dismissed so far by the LG administration until October 30, 2025.
