Two persons from Madhya Pradesh were detained in Manali for reportedly running a sex racket, police said on Monday. During the operation, four women who were being forced into the trade were rescued.
The accused have been identified as Dharmindra Solanki and Nikki Parmar, also known as Yogi. Both are residents of Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh.
Police acted on a secret information that several women were being held against their will in Manali and the nearby Rangri area. Raids were carried out at multiple locations.
The operation resulted in the arrest of the two men and the rescue of the women, Kullu Superintendent of Police Madan Lal said. He added that further investigation is underway.
