Two individuals were injured in a firing incident at Nangal village on Palasra Road in the Nalagarh industrial area on Tuesday evening after a clash between two groups. The dispute reportedly broke out over the issue of scrap. According to preliminary information, five to six people arrived in an Alto car, opened fire on two local youths, and fled the scene.

The injured have been identified as Ricky and Neeraj. They suffered splinter injuries on their hands and legs. After receiving initial treatment at a local hospital, both were referred to PGIMER, Chandigarh, for further care. Initial investigation suggests that a firearm was used in the attack and that old enmity between the two groups led to the clash.

Police have registered a case of attempt to murder and under relevant sections of the Arms Act. Further investigation is underway, and the accused, who fled after the firing, are yet to be traced.

Baddi SP Vinod Dhiman visited the spot and formed multiple teams to arrest the accused. CCTV footage from the area is being examined to gather leads.
