Meanwhile, in Uttarkashi district, restoration work on the Yamunotri National Highway is underway at full speed after sections of the road were washed away due to heavy rain and landslides.
Work is also progressing in Ojri, where seven heavy-duty machines, including Poklane and JCBs, have been deployed to clear debris and restore road connectivity.
The District Magistrate emphasised that ensuring the safety and support of pilgrims and local residents remains the top priority. He directed all teams on the ground to carry out their work with urgency, sensitivity, and vigilance.
