Two unidentified militants were killed during an encounter with security forces in the Singapore area of Sopore in Baramulla district, officials confirmed.
Acting on credible intelligence about militant presence in Panipura, Singapore, security forces launched a joint operation.
A senior official stated, “As forces closed in on the target location, an exchange of fire occurred, leading to a fierce encounter.”
While the operation is still underway, security forces are working to confirm if additional militants remain trapped.

Security forces tightened the perimeter around the suspected location, prompting the militants to open fire, which triggered the encounter.
