The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrated its 45th foundation day in Srinagar on Sunday with a special function held at Jawahar Nagar, which was presided over by Union Minister of State for Fisheries and Animal Husbandry, George Kurian.
Addressing the gathering, Kurian praised the unwavering dedication and resilience of BJP workers in Kashmir and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to national integration, development, and inclusive growth, particularly in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
He emphasised that the BJP has always championed the ideals of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas aur Sabka Prayas,” and stated that the foundation of the party lies in the spirit of nationalism and selfless service. Reiterating the party’s special concern for Kashmir, he assured that efforts for peace and prosperity in the region would continue with renewed vigor.
The event saw participation from several senior BJP leaders from the Kashmir region, including Waqf Board Chairperson Darakhshan Andrabi, along with district-level office-bearers and prominent party workers.
As part of the celebration, the party flag was hoisted, patriotic songs were sung, and the official foundation day message from BJP president J.P. Nadda was read aloud to the attendees.
