Cold wave conditions have intensified across the Kashmir Valley on Tuesday, following a brief respite brought by a fresh snowfall in Zojila on Monday. According to the MeT office in Srinagar, the summer capital recorded minus 2.5 degrees on Monday night.
The cold wave conditions are likely to intensify in the coming days, as the weather department has predicted generally dry weather to persist until December 6.
They said there are chances of light snowfall over the higher reaches and rainfall in the plains from December 7 onwards.
Almost all major weather stations in Kashmir have recorded sub-zero temperatures, a spell that officials believe will continue until December 6.
