One person was killed, and 11 others sustained injuries when a tempo traveller travelling from Srinagar to Jammu collided with a truck near Ramban on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway on Wednesday evening, said officials.

 

Officials said the tempo traveller was carrying at least 16 people, including 12 tourists from Kerala when the accident occurred. According to reports, four of the injured are in critical condition.

 

The accident occurred near the Shabanbass area of Banihal, prompting an immediate response from local authorities.

 

Officials also confirmed that one person died on the spot due to the collision impact, while 11 others sustained injuries. 

 

Soon after the incident, the injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment.
