Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar reached Kerala on Sunday for a two-day visit during which he will be visiting the Guruvayur temple in Thrissur district and meeting with students and teachers of the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) here. Dhankhar, accompanied by his wife Dr Sudesh Dhankhar, reached the international airport here in a special Indian Air Force aircraft, said a statement from the Ernakulam district administration.
They were received at the airport and were greeted by Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar. Abha Vajpayee and Karthikeya Vajpayee, family members of the Vice President, also travelled along with the Vice President, the statement added.

Apart from Arlekar, state Industries Minister P Rajeeve, Adv Haris Beeran MP, Chief Secretary Dr A Jayathilak, DGP Rawada A Chandrasekhar, District Collector NSK Umesh, CIAL Managing Director S Suhas, among others, were present to receive the Vice President.
Dhankhar then returned to the naval airport at Kochi and will reside at the Bolgatty Grand Hyatt, the statement added. He will depart from here to the Guruvayur temple at Thrissur in the morning at 10.55 am to interact with students and faculty members at NUALS later, it stated. The Vice President will return to Delhi at 12.35 pm from the Kochi International Airport, it further stated.
