The coastal Andhra city of Visakhapatnam is gearing up to host the prestigious 31st CII Partnership Summit on November 12 and 13 this year. The state government is organising this flagship economic event in collaboration with theConfederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).

Operating under the slogan “Companies that choose speed, choose Andhra Pradesh,” the NDA government, headed by the Telugu Desam Party, has framed a strategic roadmap to position the state as India’s premier global investment hub.

The CII Partnership Summit, organised annually since 1995, returns to the port city following a highly successful prior edition. This event serves as India’s premier platform for global economic engagement, policy dialogue, and international trade partnerships.

The official theme for 2026 is “Navigating Change: Technology, Trust and Trade – Leading the Way in a New World Order”.  The summit will convene over 300 international delegates from 45 countries, including G20 member nations, international business leaders, and global CEOs.

The event will be chaired by Piyush Goyal,  Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, and co-chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. The AP government has established aggressive financial and industrial benchmarks to drive the state’s economic resurgence. The long-term economic goal is to transform Andhra Pradesh into a $2.4 Trillion economy by the year 2047.

During the Partnership Summit,  the government hopes to secure investment agreements worth nearly Rs 9.8 lakh crore across 410 MoUs.

Rather than relying solely on traditional industrial manufacturing, the 2026 summit focuses heavily on high-tech, clean energy, and future-forward sectors:

Next-Gen Technology: Initiatives to establish India’s indigenous quantum computing facility, digital infrastructure, and AI innovations.

Clean & Green Energy: Massive infrastructure pitches for green hydrogen, solar panel manufacturing, and pumped hydro energy storage.

Defense & Aerospace: Focused tracks on advanced defense hardware manufacturing, technology transfers, and industrial cybersecurity.

Future Mobility & MSMEs: Advancements in electric vehicles, drones, electronics manufacturing, and tech-driven MSME growth ecosystems.

To ensure maximum global participation, the state administration is carrying out targeted business roadshows across international financial hubs like Singapore, Europe, and major economic forums.

Following the statutory finalization of Amaravati as the sole, permanent capital of Andhra Pradesh earlier this year, this summit stands as the administration’s primary vehicle to jumpstart long-term commercial investments.
