She highlighted the difficult situation for many children who lost their families. "It was heart-wrenching to see so many children left without support, especially those studying outside the area. Many students lost their entire families," she said. She expressed concern about how these children would continue their education.

The Wayanad MP mentioned that the United Democratic Front (UDF) had decided to prioritise education for affected students. "I am proud to say that a dedicated office has been set up to focus on education rehabilitation. It’s also heartening to know that 121 students from Wayanad are currently studying in Kanyakumari," she added.

She also praised the Malabar Gold Foundation for their efforts, saying, "The foundation has already distributed ₹62 lakh and has pledged to fund college fees up to ₹2 crore until the students complete their education."

Priyanka Gandhi assured the survivors of continued support. "We are all here to help you rebuild your lives and build a better future for yourselves," she concluded.

Additionally, Priyanka Gandhi met with elected representatives, leaders, and delegations in Wayanad to listen to their concerns and discuss various issues.
