The West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) published the results of the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2023 on Wednesday, revealing a pass rate of less than 3 per cent. Fewer than 7,000 candidates out of more than 2.73 lakh who appeared in the exam qualified.
Only 6,754 of the 273,147 candidates who took the test for 13,421 primary teacher posts passed, amounting to a pass rate of just 2.47 per cent.
A senior WBBPE official said that the Board will analyse the reasons behind the surprisingly low result and share their findings after the Pujas.
The WBBPE's secretary, Ranjan Kumar Jha, had previously announced that the final answer keys for all question codes were posted on the official website after an expert committee had reviewed all candidate objections. The results were then declared based on these final keys.
Candidates can see their results by visiting the official website, wbbpe.wb.gov.in, and logging in with their registration or roll number and date of birth.
