The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a "yellow" alert for the city for the next two days.
On Wednesday morning, certain areas of Delhi-NCR received mild to moderate rainfall under overcast skies.
The weather office has predicted moderate rainfall for Wednesday. The expected maximum and minimum temperatures are around 34 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the Air Quality Index (AQI) of the national capital was at a "satisfactory" level, with a reading of 93 at 6 pm.
The weather department reported that Delhi experienced a peak temperature of 36.2 degrees Celsius, which is 1.3 degrees above the normal range.
At 5:30 pm, the relative humidity was measured at 68 per cent.
