Centre signs Rs 26,000 Cr deal for aero engines with HAL

The Centre signed a Rs 26,000 crore deal with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) on Monday for 240 AL-31FP aero engines for Su-30 MKI aircraft. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) stated that HAL's Koraput Division will produce these engines, which are crucial for maintaining the operational readiness of the Indian Air Force’s Su-30 fleet.
