Northeast inland waterways set for ₹3,000 crore upgrade

IWAI has signed MoUs worth ₹3,000 crore to develop inland waterways in Northeast India, enhancing cargo transport, river tourism, and regional connectivity. Projects span Assam, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, and Meghalaya, aiming to transform waterways into engines of growth.
