Navy to enhance operational capability with commissioning of INS Jatayu at Minicoy Island

Established in the early 1980s under the operational command of the Naval Officer-in-Charge (Lakshadweep), Naval Detachment Minicoy is located on the southernmost island of Lakshadweep.
