The point system introduced in this season’s domestic cricket was such that if any of the four teams wins by a 10-wicket haul it would get 7 points. If the team won by any other margin, it would get 6 points. If draw, then 3 points will be given to each team. Each team played two matches, scoring up in the game. With this format, India A scored 12 points which was three points ahead of India C and thus won the Duleep Trophy.
