Centre releases ₹219-cr Finance Commission grants for rural Assam

The Centre has released Rs 219.24 crore in Fifteenth Finance Commission grants for Assam’s rural local bodies, along with Rs 4,698 crore of earlier withheld funds, aimed at strengthening grassroots governance and supporting water, sanitation and development initiatives across the state.
