Karnataka bakeries halt tea, coffee sales to protest GST notices

Small traders across Karnataka halted the sale of tea, coffee, and milk in protest against GST notices issued based on UPI transaction data. Many vendors switched to cash-only payments and wore black badges to express their dissent, demanding immediate withdrawal of the tax notices. In response, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has convened a meeting with small traders today to address their concerns.
